Core Values Part IV: Equip

Apr 6, 2025    Pastor Reid McAteer

Today, we explored the vital concept of equipping within the church. The message centered on Ephesians 4:11-16, emphasizing our collective responsibility to build up the body of Christ. We learned that equipping isn't just about programs; it's about empowering each other to live out our faith boldly. The sermon drew parallels between Moses' hesitation at the burning bush and our own self-doubt, reminding us that God qualifies those He calls. This challenges us to step out in faith, trusting that the Holy Spirit will enable us to fulfill God's purposes. The message also highlighted the importance of modeling Christ-like behavior and nurturing spiritual maturity in others. As we reflect on this, let's consider how we can actively contribute to equipping our fellow believers, remembering that we're all engaged in a spiritual battle that requires us to be prepared and united in our faith.
